Invisalign News
Recently, I returned from the Invisalign Forum for the East Coast. It was good news to hear that several advancements have been made once again.
One of the first advancements is that we can now extrude teeth utilizing Invisalign®. This is a great move forward. Previously we would extrude teeth 1 millimeter, now we can extrude 4 mm. Another advancement Invisalign® has brought to the market is optimized attachments. What this means is that the computer decides the proper shape of attachment for a tooth in order to make that tooth move in a very specific direction. This is a great advancement because it surpasses previous abilities where one attachment moves the teeth in all different directions. Now the attachments are individually designed for not only the tooth, but also for the movement that is needed.
